COMMUNITY OUTREACH

AND ADVOCACY

Oxfam.

The Oxford, England based Non governmental organization (NGO) has saved countless lives from the jaws of poverty since it was established in 1942. Oxfam has done it all without any form of government funding, but instead with community involvement and charitable donations. Their main goal, poverty has taken the lives of 22 thousand children daily due tomalnutrition and lack of water. This has become a huge global issue and asyou can see, many have begun to change their opinions on poverty and have turned to change. Thankfully, there are many ways to do this, including going to the official Oxfam website and going to the “Get Involved” section to get more details. The international organization was founded in 1942 as a supporting help to a national famine relief committee, but slowly formed into an organization of their own. To have no government funds invested in it, Oxfam has really become one of the strongest in the race to cure poverty, through volunteers like you, they can make this possible. The people who put themselves out there, and give help to those in need are the key to success in the battle of emancipating the globe.

Oxfam.

Helping to shape the future of human living, and providing equal rights to all humans. The founders of Oxfam, having seen the horror of the great famine had made personal connections with the cause and were set on creating an organization that helps everybody in need. They had in mind the idea of a government, but without corruption, such as racism or elitism. The thought of such corruption sparked in their minds that they, themselves could help others and create equal society for all.We could save every single person in poverty with only 40 billion dollars, going towards drinkable water, sanitation, nutrition, and education from a charitable government.
